Matn (Arabic: قضاء المتن, translit: Qada' el Matn), sometimes spelled Metn, is a district (qadaa) in the Mount Lebanon Governorate of Lebanon, east of the Lebanon's capital Beirut. The district capital is Jdeideh.
The Matn district is also popularly known as Northern Matn District (Arabic: قضاء المتن الشماليtranslit: Qada' el Matn ash Shimali) not be be confused with Southern Matn (Arabic: المتن الجنوبيtranslit: Al Matn al Janoubi) which is part of Baabda District
